Our Team
Josh Zimmerman
President; Jack of All Trades, Master of Some
Josh has been in the steel industry for over two decades and has seen its evolution, but also its stagnancy. Seeing this need for change, he developed an innovative process to move projects forward with more efficiency, better accuracy, shorter schedules, and appealing budgets for both vendors and clients. He honed these strategies over 10 years within a division he built inside a $250MM EPCM corporation.
His multiple leadership and coaching roles, both inside and outside of business settings, has given Josh a unique perspective on the industry as a whole and how best to lead his team toward excellence.
Josh and his wife Pamela share 8 kids, 3 grandchildren, and a horse of a dog called Mr. Ed. He’s a woodworking hobbyist and likes to pluck a guitar string every now and then. His favorite time of the year is Buckeye season when you’ll be sure to catch him shouting “O-H!” into random crowds.

Leonard Henkel
Vice President; Smooth Talker
Lenny’s foray into the construction / steel industry started way back in 1998 when Google became a thing and Titanic was the biggest blockbuster of the box office. With a BS in Civil Engineering from the University of Rhode Island, Lenny comes at our projects with an engineer’s perspective. Early in his career he was able to increase an annual revenue of $750K to $1.2MM within two years. And he didn’t stop there. From associate engineer to project manager, to estimating and sales, and now as Vice President of Detailed Steel Solutions, Lenny has the background and experience to help our clients navigate every nuance of each unique project. We're lucky to have him at the helm of our New Jersey location.
In his “free” time, Lenny enjoys spending time on the weekends with his family doing outdoor activities and coaching sports. A passion for woodworking and creating furniture helps provide a balance in his life.

Jessica Dandino
Project Manager; Ms. Fix-it
There are probably not a lot of people who know more about the stages of the construction process than Jessica. In her decades of experience she’s followed along from owner concept to design to field construction to final occupancy. Her experience in both residential and commercial builds, state and local government construction projects, as well as her knowledge of concrete and asphalt have turned her into an incredibly well-rounded asset. She thoroughly understands what clients and colleagues need from one project to the next and is able to effortlessly provide. (Well, she makes it look effortless, anyway!).
Jessica is LEED AP certified and holds an OSHA 10 Hour certificate.
Jessica is outnumbered at home with two young sons, but together they love being groupies for her husband Kevin's band.
Cale Fisher
Project Manager Assistant, Happy Gilmore
Cale Fisher joins the DSS team with an eclectic background in various industries, making him a unique asset to our Project Managers, and ultimately to our clients. His work ethic has earned him high accolades and an impressive career trajectory. From humble beginnings working in the trenches, to managing a team of 5, Cale knows what it takes to reach his own goals while supporting others in doing the same. He brings a high level of organization and efficiency to our office, not to mention dependability.
There’s no time to rest once he goes home, though. He and his wife Kaitlyn are too busy chasing after Leiton, their very active 2nd grader, and Emmie their dog who never tires of walks. Cale has a talent for woodworking, enjoys playing golf, and loves being outdoors no matter the weather. And that bodes well for him, considering he lives in Ohio!
Jacob Rodriguez
Steel Detailer; Lone Wolf
Jacob has been working in the steel industry since 2015 where he started as a designer within a global architecture, engineering, and project management firm. Through modest and large-scale projects, Jake became a steel detailer, focused on the finer minutiae of steel fabrication deliverables. His eagle eye accuracy and quick turnaround not only produces quality detail sheets, erection sheets, and production files, but also allows him to serve our clients with estimodeling services prior to them needing to submit their steel package bid to their clients. He is trained in SDS2 and with his managerial background has the big picture thinking needed to augment project success.
Jacob’s love of details extends to his free time where he builds finely finished tables and other wood pieces. And there isn’t a bit of origami that perplexes him; he’s created the most intricate of designs. Having had six (so far) loyal dogs by his side, it’s no wonder that at home he’s known as the Dog Whisperer.
